23.04.2008 The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society of Serbia (MTID) announced that, between March 25 and April 9, 2008, over 20,000 copies of localized free software packages were downloaded from its servers by the citizens of Serbia.

08.04.2008 Kompanija DataVoyage iz Užica, saopštila je da je u saradnji sa Web lokacijom FreeDNS omogućila besplatnu registraciju domena iz.rs kao svojevrstan protest zbog načina organizacije nacionalnog domena i nerealno visoke cene registracije domena.
